About Me
JPNA Group Project Film 150
JPNA is an abbreviation for the Johnsons Park Neighborhood Association. JPNA was created to revitalize the neighborhood, which has experienced hardships over the past few years. The Johnsons Park Neighborhood has gone through many ups and downs and seen many changes through out its existence. JPNA is bringing a sense of community back into the neighborhood and drawing a lot of attention on their efforts. The JPNA Media Project is a small project intended to document the experiences of long standing residents of the neighborhood. The interviews that we collected are of residents that have lived in Johnsons Park area for twenty years or more. By documenting the experiences of long standing residents we learn how the neighborhood changes and progresses, and how the residents have shaped their community. We hope that the members of this community serve as an example of perseverance, hope, and progress, not just to other neighborhoods, but to the city as a whole.
